Well, I've just settled baby girl down for a nap, so now there is time.
Isn't she just precious?
Hadley is one week shy from three months old, and I can't believe how quickly the time has passed since the day she came into our lives. The depth of the love of a parent is amazing to me. Nick and I have asked ourselves a time or two, "how did we ever live without her?"
Last night was a big night. Last night, Hadley experienced her first JBF Sale!
If you have not heard of "Just Between Friends"- Moms, listen up!
The Just Between Friends Sale {Or JBF} is a huge consignment sale for all things baby and kid. They're hosted all around the country, and they're a pretty big deal! SO many things at SUCH great prices!
The sale for our area is hosted at the Puyallup Fairgrounds, and our first visit was last October.
Seven months pregnant, I rounded up the troops {Nick and my sister-in-law, Kim} to score some of the big ticket baby items. And boy, did we make out like bandits! From a name-brand stroller travel-system, baby swing, and bouncer seat to even some of those smaller items. We saved just a little under $400!
It's needless to say, but I was just a little excited about their Spring sale. ;) And this time I would be a consignor!
I packed up some of Hadley's clothing that she had outgrown, a few things that didn't fit her size & season, and a couple of items we didn't need.
I was pretty proud of my three bags full.
Mom came to watch Hadley as I quickly ran my items over to the sale site for drop-off. Then I caught glimpse of the serious consignor moms. We're talking full car loads {and a few with some truck and trailers!}
There was a great feeling of encouragement and comradery amongst all us moms- young and old- as we each presented our goods for inspection. Each item must be in almost-new or great condition and season-appropriate to be accepted. A great amount of things, like mine, are still brand-new with tags!
My favorite part? As a consignor I was invited back for the pre-sale beginning at 8:00 pm!
There was just one thing I was needing {or so I thought} and that would be another baby carrier or sling. We have a Moby-Wrap that Hadley just loves to be carried around in.. but since the thing is 5.5 meters long {Uhh- huuh} it is not the easiest thing to just throw on when hopping out of your car somewhere. We needed something easy for those times.
Well, we found a few more things we currently need or will be needing before the Fall Sale, and I can't wait to share our deals {steals} with you!
